lady luck is here again and it's looking to be on the hose her injuries aren't so nice this time and she didn't come to boast the usual smile replaced with a faint tearful remorse for the pictures they paint always a lover but never a saint
4.
on a dark star you watch the ground unfold like burning newspaper inkblots locked out in the cold it's easy to observe let fate take its course watch freedom truly prevail before losing by force message bottles simulcast to everyone saying the same things it's not so easy to stand back and hard still to join up there words from a grifter simply cowardice poser yelling at the real deals overthinking this when it/the money runs out

time has snapped our heads in place hurried up and shot in the face clock hands slower moving now there's nothing doing play the waiting game or speed the process up yourself get out or stay in it's the times we are in show up and change or watch things stay the same re-imagined life as a morality play makes a fella wonder why we put up with each day is that body moving? oh, there's nothing doing have a say in it all but they always keep the same cogs turning I don't wanna hear you say at least you're turning the gears, no way united we are stronger divided it lasts longer it's only strengthening in both directions and you don't wanna know what's at the intersection no professional would issue those corrections do you stay in bed or join the insurrection?

down home for the long haul you shrink at the thought of it the calendar’s too big to fit frightened by the thought of it the daze will leave you motionless the days just seem to want to think to watch you break tend your southern headache

under-"thought out" over-rehearsed filling in the blanks with spaces to make it to the second verse copy paste recursive you hope someone finds it subversive no illusions, you won't learn a little but it helps to pass the time everything you love will eventually die it's the price you pay for being so easily entertained I'm just a cynic you shouldn't read so into it low points aren't a new concept but it's impossible in the thick of it a homegrown alternative to a shallow grave pause after your last bad joke call it a nice save fix it so it can be broke vibe’s not a substitute for boredom it's the flavor aid you consume to be so easily entertained I didn’t know I needed you because I didn’t I didn’t think it’d be so great because it isn’t nature lives in repetition never meant you had to do the same

cast your splintered innocence you lost it to a trade its scars leave motionless heavy breathing nonetheless once washed out, the truth escapes and strangles your impatience sky high motionless over breeding motionless one hand over the other end ride "mph" for gods set stunning motors fired up and engines gunning motionless painless motionless architectural misgivings half divided 2 alive and motionless forever knowing motionless let your pipes leak let your mind break nothing is as it should be end ride
14.
the way you asked me to stay for the kids you knew you had to have stations turn to stop signs patient melts to resigned it’s not my time the door is open, so out I go if you see me around, fine, let me know highways turn to parking lots old friends turn to robots it’s not my time

Dizzy 02:42
loud voice takes its own authority clearly show of confidence implies correctness dismissal every ill and withdrawal life is on the line and in your silver-studded chair you ramble put the public at ease ignore the social disease figurative and literal you'll always "now" not "please" hold on now I've gotten dizzy you're throwing a lot at me and all of it is wrong I know I'm not of much use at best I'll write protest songs but a shout for change is better than a pathological denial
17.
every scene you see has been arranged so details won't stick out and you'll go along with it what's on the ground and in the air are two completely different things they're sanitizing every word the birds sing but there are limits to making it safe tear gas for peace the handcuffs chafe live television has its limits and of this there is no end they said "fuck" on CNN it's time to ride
