If I hadn't made the percussion too loud this would be on the album. However, I screwed it up and recording this the first time around was so annoying that I don't really want to do it again.

I know I’ve been struggling
I know I’ll make it out
I’m taking it day by day
every little step of the way
sometimes I’m close to giving up
resigning myself to a wall decoration
feel my form devolve into
abstract designs
into

two shapes
one on the left side craving death
two shapes
one on the right side hoping I’ll stay
a well-crafted game I’m not skilled enough to play
both in arm’s reach of a punch in the gut
but too far away to land it
you knows it feels fucked

I spend all my free time worrying
feeling like I should be hurrying
every week feels like a day
every little step of the way
lights off at 4 lights on at 10
don’t know how I’ll make it through again
in need of something to say
every night my dreams display

but never coming up with a refreshing way
to convince me to be out there, avoiding retreat
while I’m content here, collecting defeat

but why should I be put to the task?
