underground they hear the cannons roar
a place to fight demand
with supply everywhere
but none around to share

on the beaches of life
under the sand of space
the lines chase the dots
a mimicking car chase
they say it imitates
if not envelopes
a watercolor sky would prove
a statement...neither right or wrong

we had oceans before
water under the rocky floor
the trees had spaces between fires
until they swept the shore
history will never hold responsible
the names and addresses
plainer text could not help that
you'll never understand
they'll say it's your time
so they have a chance to hide
between the margins of the shadows
and the growing dividing lines
can never say they're heroes
paint another picture
